Everyone has sinned. There is no one who does not sin. even knowing the consequences of our sinfulness is not enough to keep us from sinning. Because none of us are sinless, all of us fall short of God’s glory.
Paul announces that, through faith in Christ, we can be made righteous in God’s sight. Paul teaches us that the “glory of God” is the standard, and no one but Jesus Christ has ever come close to meeting it.

This is why in order to be saved, we must have Christ trade places with us. Only through His death on the cross can we be justified. Meaning, Jesus’ death on the cross takes away the charge placed against us for our sin by the law.

This Easter may we be reminded that it is only by God’s amazing grace that we are free. Through faith in His death we have been declared righteous!
