Salvation is offered by God to sinners and not those who consider themselves good.
That is what makes Christianity and our relationship with God so different. Other religions and teachings offer salvation to those who are good. You need to work hard to reach a level where you are worthy to receive salvation.
Isn’t it wonderful that God asks us to come to him as we are. With our deepest shame and sorrowful hearts he calls us to him and gives us salvation.
Let us remember that we do not have to carry the burden of our sins by ourselves. Jesus came for us because we need the salvation that He is bringing to us.
Our salvation can only be found in Jesus christ.
