Philippians 1:21-22
Paul had choices in his later years.
- Continued with his ministry, so he could be even more powerful/famous apostle.
- Retired and reaped the benefit of his lifetime achievement.
- Found a way to die in a dramatic fashion, so he could make a historic statement with his death.
Yet he desired to die and be with Christ whom he loved so much.
And he faithfully carried out his ministry until his rather quiet death.
I found amazing beauty in his faithful heart. His love for Christ was beyond life or death.
Jesus was precious to Paul beyond himself.
