It was against the law to commit blasphemy. However, it seems people were reacting in more personal level.

Yes, we dont want changes and feeling less than others. It is natural to bring others down when they make us feel bad about ourselves. It is called, jealousy.

I know many of you are growing and doing awesome in the Lord.

It might triggers others to challenge you and try to bring you down.
