Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:8-9
Let’s say that you are teaching your child how to ride a bicycle.
You would draw a picture of a bicycle. Then, you would explain how the pedal works and how to balance it with the handlebar.
After that, would you say that the child knows how to ride a bicycle?
Not at all. You have to put the child on an actual bicycle to have him pedal and balance it on his own.
Then, you can say that he knows how to ride a bicycle.
Faith is the same. We read the bible at church and talk about it in a bible study won’t give us faith.
We need to experience it and practice it for us to have faith, not just knowing about faith.
When you are practicing, others experience faith through you.
Then, they go and practice it themselves to have faith.
It is one of the most important aspect of our faith; practicing whatever is noble, right, pure lovely and admirable.
