This verse take place right before Jesus ascends into heaven and it is one of the the last things He tells His disciples. This comes after the disciples come to Jesus and ask when the restoration of Israel would happen. Jesus tells them that they don’t have to know the times the Father has set. When we are with Him, God fills us with His holy spirit, and that is what will guide us to be His witness to the people who need Him. When and how He will restore the people is not up to us and we don’t have to know as only God has the authority. All we have to do is trust in Him.
Our Faith in Him gives an assurance that His promises are sure, His Word is true and that the Father has fixed them by His own authority and will fulfil them in His time and His way.
Let us trust God to fulfil all His plans and purposes.
