It is not because of your righteousness that the Lord your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.
Deuteronomy 9:5-6
Do you know why God took 40 years to bring Israelites into the promised land?
God took the time to have relationship with Israelites in order to shape them into a Holy nation.
However, Israelites often thought it was due to their righteousness that they deserved the land.
We need to stay humble with God so we stay moldable and continue to grow.
The best way is to give thanks to God for all we are.
