Look so content.

In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

Mark 15:31‭-‬32

While he was on the cross, many mocked him by challenging him to save himself from the cross.

How many disciples do you think wished the same thing?

‘Lord, please save yourself.’

‘Lord, please show us a sign that we will be okay.’

For the disciples, every moment would have been devastating and lonely.

Yet, he was silent and he was gone.

Hope was lost.

Hope is not a wishful thinking. Hope is a certainty of the future. We have hope that the disciples didn’t… the resurrection.

We have a certain hope that Jesus will be resurrected.
